About Tidal Pointe
We founded Tidal Pointe because we know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by the financial side of divorce. Both of us have lived it.

Bob Mitton, CDFA®
With over 22 years in financial services and a degree in Finance, Bob helps individuals, families, and business owners find clarity in their financial lives. As a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, he works with clients and divorce professionals through one of the most complex parts of divorce.
Before the divorce work
Bob spent eight years in Pennsylvania as an annuity wholesaler for Brighthouse Financial, working with around 300 independent financial advisors across the region.
The role was consultative. Advisors brought him in case by case, usually when a client's retirement income or asset management question got complicated enough to want someone who worked on that problem full time. He would look at the situation, work through the options with the advisor, and help them put something together that held up.
Divorce is one of the places a plan stops holding up, and he saw it from that seat repeatedly. Almost always after the fact, when a settlement had been signed and the plan had to be rebuilt around whatever was left.
Then it happened to him.
His own divorce was financially complicated, and going through it as someone who had spent two decades in financial services was clarifying in an uncomfortable way. He understood the numbers and still found the process opaque. Most people do not have the first advantage and face the same problem.
That is why Tidal Pointe exists, and why the work is built around getting the financial analysis right before the agreement is signed rather than repairing it afterward.
The work he does now is the same arrangement. An advisor calls when a case has a financial problem they do not handle in-house, and he handles that piece.
Bob is a working single dad with close relationships with his daughter and son, which gives him both the technical insight and the empathy the work asks for.

As a divorced mother of two, Erin knows the challenges of a new chapter firsthand. That experience led her to become a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.
